  • It is important to us that our residents receive proper personal care in addition to rehabilitation during their stay at Birch. In addition to dental, vision and podiatry care, our on staff dietitians and nutritionists create a custom diet plan for each resident.

  • For patients who cannot receive feedings by mouth, TPN provides nutrition while bypassing the gastrointestinal tract.

  • When a resident is ready to move back home, our entire staff works together to create an individualized discharge plan that will outline instructions and follow up care that will ensure a safe and easy transition from our facility.

    This is an extremely initial impression based only on my mom's five days at the facility. Although there are certainly no frills or fanciness, my mom is as happy as she could be. I have visited twice and called eight times in the five days. And every nurse I have spoken with (Andrea, June, Brenda, Kelsey, ...) has been wonderful. They have displayed a great amount of concern and empathy, and have been very patient with my many calls and questions. I have never felt rushed, even though I know nurses in general are stretched extremely thin, to say the least. It is nice to know my mom is surrounded by people that care about her.

    I am going to a nursing home!?!" Well, it turned out to be a positive experience from a hip transplant and an ankle broken in 3 places. The rehab services were great. Physical Therapy got me up and moving, which was no easy task. Whenever I buzzed for help an aide was at my bedside in less than 3 minutes. The staff (nurses, aides, therapists and management) were very caring and responsive to my needs. If I had to go to rehab again, I would NOT hesitate to go to Birch. Did I mention the food....it needs some help. I am now walking all over the place, climbing ladders and driving; and it all began here. Many thanks for everything!
